The Address Verification Service (AVS) checks both the Address Line and the Postcode.
However, the AVS will only verify the numeric portion of an address. Therefore any other characters should not cause an issue with the AVS when taking place.
Replace the door number with either the building name if it has one or just a Full Stop will suffice.
