In order to support American Express cards it will be necessary to set-up an American Express merchant account for this merchant.
To get an AMEX Merchant Account you will need to go to American Express direct and they will be able to provide you with one.
AMEX are a bit of an exception from all other acquirers.
Normally we can arrange merchant accounts for all other acquirers,
however in order to take American Express cards you will need an
American Express Merchant Account. Unfortunately we cannot arrange this
for you. You will need to contact American Express yourself to arrange
an AMEX merchant account. I've provided the link to the American Express

Once you receive your American Express MID, please inform one of us here
at Cardstream and we will provide you with the relevant form to set-up
the AMEX MID on the Cardstream system.
